Pittsburgh Business Times: PeopleOne Health Secures $8 Million to Fuel Expansion in Pennsylvania and Ohio

PeopleOne Health, a direct-care provider, has secured $8 million in Series A funding from Claritas Health Ventures to support its expansion across Pennsylvania and Ohio. The funding will enable the company to grow from four locations to 18 by the end of next year. Co-founded by Dr. Zane Gates, PeopleOne Health’s model focuses on preventive care, offering a membership-based service that eliminates the need for traditional insurance reimbursement. This approach has been particularly successful with self-insured employers, as well as Medicare and Medicaid patients.

The investment from Claritas Health Ventures is expected to accelerate PeopleOne Health’s mission of providing accessible, high-quality healthcare. By focusing on preventive and primary care, the organization aims to lower healthcare costs while delivering better outcomes. The expansion plan also includes exploring new markets and partnerships that align with the company’s values of patient-first care. With this additional funding, PeopleOne Health is well-positioned to continue its growth and offer more communities access to affordable and effective healthcare services.
